Nowak Engineering Edmonton is a pleased to have worked with Edmonton Catholic Schools on a number of different projects. Below is a sampling of some of the work we have done:
Edmonton Catholic Schools Facilities Centre
This project is an ongoing modernization. Phase one included replacing the original coal fired boiler which was converted to natural gas in the 1970’s. Along with the boiler replacement, the distributed domestic water heating system was centralized using three gas fired water heaters.
Phase two included a renovation to the offices within the building. New Radiant panel heating and variable air volume air conditioning was added.

Our Lady of Peace School Mechanical Upgrade
A major mechanical upgrade project to an existing school with multiple additions as old as the 1950s. It was a challenging design and installation due to the extensive scope of work, short summer construction season, and the difficult demands of a renovation project on an existing building (some known and some discovered along the way). In addition to the that, Nowak Engineering acted as the prime consultant to help manage the project through completion. Equipment featured includes heat recovery for ventilation, fan coil units for individual room control, radiant heating and a new boiler system.
